Visible Ink Writers' Group meets every Tuesday from 7-9pm in The Gray Room at the Nelson Hall Community Centre, 5 Spittalfield Crescent, Edinburgh EH8 9QZ (Tel: 0131 667 8838 Fax: 0131 667 5045 Web: Nelson Hall).

Spittalfield Crescent is off Bernard Terrace, which runs between Clerk Street and St Leonard's Street. Map

We ask a contribution of £2 (£1.00 concessions) to cover the cost of room rental. New members are always welcome and the first visit is free.

We usually start with a stimulus session. Some of the short stories, poems and even novels in the Visible Ink Magazine have been the result of stimulus sessions.

After the stimulus session, we have a short break for tea or coffee. After this, members read out work in progress. After each piece is read out other members make comments and suggestions for improvement.

At 9pm we all go for a drink in a local pub.

Come along and join us - we're a friendly lot!
